While there is a core membership of The Wild Honey Collective, the group rotates through different lineups and has worked with an esteemed roster of collaborators live and on record, including songwriter/guitarist Jack Straw (Short Straw Pickers, Dead Honey Collective), drummers Kevin Adams (Drinking Mercury), Dave Shilakes (No Skull, Small Parks), and Hattie Danby (The Plurals), bassist-guitarist-songwriter Michael Boyes (Drinking Mercury), bassist Nicholas Richard (The Plurals), and certified Detroit rocker Jeremy Porter among many other talented folks.
Dead Honey Collective

Most prominently, the spin-off group Dead Honey Collective spotlights the rootsier edges of the Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia songbook alongside original compositions and folk standards. Wild Honey regulars Tommy McCord, Jack Schueler, Adam Aymor, and Joel Kuiper are joined by Nicholas Merz at a monthly residency at Moriarty’s Pub in Lansing in addition to regional appearances at a variety of venues. The group’s debut EP Rose Colored Glasses (September 2025) features 3 original songs; a live recording project is planned for 2026.
Wilderhoney
On certain occasions a variety of duo and trio lineups of the core Wild Honey members can be found performing around Michigan, most regularly the Wilderhoney duo of Tommy and Adam that resulted in the 2024 EP of the same name:
